Nigel’s Banana Cake

From Simple Suppers

175g butter
175g sugar (caster & muscovado mixed)
2 eggs
75g ground toasted hazelnuts
175g flour
2 bananas, mashed
100g chopped dark chocolate (?)

Beat butter & sugar, add beaten eggs gradually, with a little flour. Fold in remainder of ingredients, turn into loaf tin, sprinkle with demerara sugar and bake at 170°C for about an hour.
